A #FestiveFable with Molton Brown

With Christmas just around the corner, this blog post might just solve your last minute gift panics! The lovely Molton Brown sent me some goodies to review, and I am in LOVE!

This litte guy is The Lyktgubbe Fable, 'the old man with the lamp' who features in Molton Browns Christmas campaign filmed in the forest of  Laponia in Sweden and he now lives on my Christmas tree!

The gingerlily range is a mixture of my all time favourite scents, ginger, tuberose, spicy cedarwood and white lily. Dreamy! The giftset includes hand wash, hand lotion and and a hand cream that is perfect for your handbag throughout the winter months.

The hand wash and hand lotion are a perfect match, and the smell lasts on your hands for hours! I have been using the replenishing hand cream so much over the past week, it's the perfect pick me up for dry winter skin.

From the luxe packaging to the gorgeous products this is a lovely gift for someone special. I'll be saving putting out my hand wash and hand lotion in the bathroom until we have guests over the Christmas holiday!

I love the gingerlily products so much that I went on the website to see what other bits they had in the collection, much to my delight there are diffusers, candles, body washes etc. They are for sure going on my Christmas wishlist!

Check out the gift set here and the rest of the gorgeous Molton Brown range here

SHOW Beauty

Recently I was invited to my favourite store in Liverpool, Harvey Nichols Beauty Bazaar to be introduced to SHOW Beauty and the facilities they offer. I must admit, I had not heard a lot about this brand at all so I was really intrigued to pop along to the Express Blow Dry Bar to learn more. Tamara Ecclestone is the founder of SHOW Beauty and has put a lot of thought into not only the ingredients of the products but the gorgeous packaging too.

The express blow dry bar such a great concept if you’re looking for a quick spruce up but don’t have time for the full wash and blow. I was really pleased with my hair and the SHOW Beauty consultant did an amazing job at explaining the products to me and how to use them for my desired look.

SHOW Beauty kindly gifted me a few of the products to try at home, which I am so excited about! I've already trialed some of the hair masks and they are absolutely gorgeous.

I will be doing a full review of all the products in a blog post soon once I have had a few weeks to fully test out the range.

Thanks again to SHOW Beauty and Harvey Nichols for inviting me down to experience the blow dry bar, I’ll most definitely be back!

Adidas - Size?

I'm back with a blog post that's maybe a little different to what I'd usually post. I'm not really a 'trainers' kind of girl, but these Adidas Original Gazelle's have made their way into my day to day wardrobe and I'm truly converted.

Size? has an amazing variety of Adidas originals - I've got my eye on a gorgeous pair of blush Rivea for my next addition to my newly expanding collection.

By Kilian - Harvey Nichols Beauty Bazaar Liverpool

I love a good fragrance, and when it comes to adding to my beauty shelf, I’m willing to splash out a little more on a signature scent. Recently I was introduced to By Kilian, in all honesty - a brand who I wasn’t very familiar with at all. The lovely Roy, who is the brand ambassador for By Kilian invited me for an introductory session at Harvey Nichols Beauty Bazaar, to get to know the brand and products. It is sold there exclusively to anywhere else in Liverpool. So if you want to get your hands on some – that’s the place to go.

By Kilian launched in 2007, with the mindset of reflecting Kilian Hennessy's distinct personality and create a perfect balance between elegance and uncompromised luxury. His 'eco-luxe' philosphy is that each bottle is refillable and can be kept for a lifetime.

After a lovely cup of tea and a great brand intro, we headed to the perfume counter to sample a few of the scents. I had already discussed with Roy the kind of things I go for in a perfume; nothing overly floral but woody, spicy and borderline unisex is what I like to wear.

The stories behind each bottle of perfume are incredible, a lot of creativity and love has built this brand to what it is today. The tagline for the brand is 'perfume as an art' and after listening to the background and the production process, I totally get it. I was lucky enough to pick a bottle to keep, and after much deliberation (sorry Roy!) I went for Sacred Wood from the Asian Tales collection, a gorgeous mix of smoky sandalwood, steaming milk and hot spices. Literally right up my street! The bottles all come in a gorgeous black satin lined coffret, lacquered by hand!

This is a great brand to get to know now, I don't know about you but I love a little secret away from the high street/mainstream and trust me - people WILL ask 'oooh what's that perfume you're wearing?'

Best of all, if you show this post at the By Kilian counter at HN Beauty Bazaar (or any of my Instagram images that include By Kilian) you get a sample kit absolutely free! Winning. What are you waiting for? Your nose will thank you, trust me.

Interiors Intro...

So I wanted to introduce a new category for my blog, something which I am getting more and more obsessed with. Interiors. At the moment I am living with my Mum and Dad in Liverpool having moving back from Manchester. David and I are weeks away from owning our first house and I am so excited to finally call a place our own. I have decided to use my blog as a space to document this, as it’s something I love reading about on other blogs (Kate I’m looking at you… )

At the moment the app Houzz and Pinterest are my go to for inspiration, and I’m starting to gather images from lots of places to have something I can refer to when we finally get a house! In the meantime you'll find me lurking around IKEA and HomeSense...

I just thought I’d give you a little idea on the kind of themes I love and hopefully I can update you soon!

P.S. If any of you read any great interior blogs, PLEASE send me the links in the comments below!

Beauty Review: Nip + Fab, Rodial and Monsoon

Nip + Fab

Nip + Fab is a brand I have used a few products from and really loved so when they kindly sent me some bits from their Kale Fix range I was genuinely excited. The products are make-up removal pads, a clay face mask, and a tummy fix. The Kale Fix make up pads are really gentle but effective whilst removing make-up. I don’t think I wear a lot of make-up during a normal weekday but I found myself having to use two of these pads to remove the last traces of make-up. The pads have a really fresh clean smell which I love!

I love a good Clay mask and was not disappointed with this one. It left my skin soft and visibly glowing after the first use. Some clay masks I find quite drying but I really love this one and again, it smells great! Even Kylie Jenner agrees, this is a quote from the woman herself… "I travel a lot so I like to use the Kale Fix Mask to get my skin hydrated again."  Can't argue with that!

Literally my go to make up brand at the moment, I have not used anything that I haven’t liked! My day-to-day make up look includes at least three Rodial products. My hero products are Glamobrow in Dark Ash Brown and Instaglam Compact Deluxe Bronzing powder - so worth the money! Next on my list is the Instaglam Contouring Powder...

Monsoon – Rose Gold Perfume

Monsoon kindly sent me their new fragrance - Rose Gold to review here on my blog. As it's name suggests the fragrance is based on roses, with top notes of citrus and woods to round off a rich aroma. I am not normally a fan of floral scents, but I actually like this. As far as the packaging goes, I’d give this top marks. It’s sleek design gives it a look of a high end fragrance. If I had to use two words to describe this scent it would be glamorous and feminine.  This is definitely one for Mother’s Day girls!

Rodial Sculpting Masterclass - Harvey Nichols Beauty Bazaar

*New brand love alert!*

So at the weekend I got invited to one of my favourite stores in Liverpool, Harvey Nichols Beauty Bazaar. Literally a girls dream, from counter upon counter of all the best beauty brands, to in house hair salon, Nails Inc nails bar AND champagne bar. Can you see why I love it in there?

Anyway, I digress. Only in the past few months have I come across the brand Rodial, founded by Maria Hatzistefanis. The brand ethos revolves around high performance skincare offering targeted, results driven treatments. I was so excited to learn more about Rodial and test their products.

Harvey Nichols invited me to have a sculpting master class with the lovely Aimee. I was treated to the Rodial Signature Sculpt which involved a full facial and sculpting (this is £50 and redeemable against product)

Here's some pictures from my masterclass. Aimee was amazing at teaching me step by step what products to use and tips on how to use them

Products used:
Dragons Blood Cleanser Water - to remove my makeup
Dragons Blood Eye Gel - as part of my base
Skin Tint in Capri mixed with Stemcell Super- Food Facial Oil - this gave a great dewy finish
Eye Sculpt - amazing texture and build able pigment
Glamobrow - in Dark Ash Brown

I was also very kindly gifted a massive bunch of Rodial items to test out

I will do another review of the products I was gifted when I've had time to test them out for a period of time, but on first impressions - I'm impressed!

Big thanks again to Harvey Nichols and the Rodial team for a lovely afternoon and I can't wait to update you on the products.
